GLBRC Switchgrass Variety Experiment I

GLBRC098:GLBRC Switchgrass Variety Experiment I

This dataset contains data for the Switchgrass Variety Experiment I located on west side of the KBS GLBRC Intensive Field Site. Eight upland and four lowland varieties were planted in 2009-2010 in a complete randomized block design with 12 varieties (Treatments 1 -12) in 4 replicate blocks (R1-R4) for a total of 48 plots. From 2009-2018, plots were periodically fertilized following standard agronomic practices. In 2019, a 10 ft unfertilized subplot was established at the east end of each plot; the remaining 30 ft on the west end of the plot was fertilized at a rate of 56.0 kg N/ha/yr. The experiment was decommissioned in 2021 in favor of the Switchgrass Variety Experiment II.
