Phosphorus Balance in Agricultrual Ecosystems

GLBRC139:Phosphorus Balance in Agricultrual Ecosystems

Phosphorus (P) budgets for cropping systems show whether there is a net surplus or deficit, which relates to the sustainability of production as well as the potential for P export, a major driver of eutrophication. We analyzed P inputs (fertilization and atmospheric deposition) and outputs (harvest and leaching losses) to determine the P balance over time.
