Comprehensive chemical analyses of poplar (G8) leaf tissue sampled occasionally from fertilized main plots and unfertilized subplots to assess nutrient status. As of August 2013, the main section had been fertilized only once in June 2010 with ammonium nitrate (156 kg N/ha or 140 lbs N/acre). Carbon and nitrogen were measured by the KBS LTER lab; all other analyses were performed by the Michigan State University Soil and Plant Nutrient Laboratory. Note that subplots were discontinued after the 2018 harvest.
This datatable is part of the GLBRC Plant Chemical Analyses dataset.
This dataset contains the total carbon and nitrogen content of plant material of the GLBRC Biofuel Cropping System Experiment (BCSE) at peak biomass and at harvest, and the complete chemical analysis of leaf tissue of selected species to occasionally assess their nutrient status.
