Soil Horizons of Deep Cores — GLBRC Biofuel Cropping System Experiment
Soil horizons as identified from deep soil cores of all BCSE treatments (G1-G10) sampled in 2008 and sectioned into depth intervals.
This datatable is part of the Deep Core Soil Surveys–Biofuel Cropping System Experiment dataset.
Deep soil cores (to 1 m) are collected roughly every 5 years from all treatments (G1-G10) of the GLBRC Biofuel Cropping System Experiment (BSCE) since its establishment in 2008. Soil cores are taken at all sampling stations (S1-S3) in each replicate (R1-R5), sectioned into 0-10, 10-25, 25-50, and 50-100 cm soil depth intervals, and each interval analyzed for bulk density, total carbon and nitrogen content, and agronomic soil chemistry. Soil texture and soil horizons were also identified in 2008.
